GERRY MATTEI

​COMPOSER/SONGWRITER
Gerry's passion for composing and songwriting started at the age of 7 when he won his first songwriting contest.  Pursuing his passion for music, Gerry attended Western Michigan University where he studied Jazz performance, composition, and arranging under Dr. Steve Zegree.  Since moving to Los Angeles in 2007, Gerry has worked with some of the best songwriters in the music business.  Gerry's original compositions can be heard on several cable television programs and commercials.



​PERFORMER
Gerry's professional attitude and playing ability has made him one of the most sought after keyboard players in Los Angeles.  Being fluent in all musical styles has allowed Gerry to work with a variety of artists including: Pia Toscano, Allison Iraheta, Orianthi, Matt Giraud, Janice Siegel, Bobby McFerrin, Fred Hersch, Greg Bissonette, Billy Heart. As a performer, Gerry has received many accolades including Downbeat Magazine's Award for Outstanding Performance by an Artist and winner of the 2010 KTLA Battle of the Bands contest.
